Rosaceae. Europe to Asia and North Africa. H x 0.5m L 0.4m. Z6. Perennial. A forgotten medieval plant to rediscover. Its roots used to be considered a spice to flavor beers and soups; harvested in early spring, they have a strong scent of clove mixed with cinnamon. The wild type proposed here is not of great aesthetic interest, but it must be cultivated to produce the spice and for medicinal use. The plant is indeed anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, aromatic, astringent, diaphoretic, febrifuge, stomachic and tonic. It can treat problems affecting the digestive tract from the mouth to the anus, inflammatory problems and fevers, for example. An easy plant to have in your medicinal garden. 1 plant bare root available in fall, winter and early spring
