Agastache foeniculum is of the mint and sage family, and as such an aromatic herb

Medicinal properties: Cardiac, Diaphoretic and Pectoral

Culinary properties: The leaves have a light licorice-like and anised flavor and can be used to make delicious herb teas or to season food

Aesthetic properties: Anise Hyssop produces abundant and lasting purple flower spikes in summer, meliferous and very attractive to insects like bees

Agastache foeniculum is of the most beautiful effect in high flower beds

In autumn, its many seeds are enjoyed by the birds

Cultivation

Sow in the nursery in april-may, protected from frost, and transplant in place in may-june, full sun exposure

Grows back each year from the stump if your climate is not too cold in winter
