In the spring, it offers a visual extravaganza with its multitude of large beautiful purple flowers, with characteristic and original shape, scattered on a high spike that creates a beautiful sustained bouquet on each plant

While Columbine is toxic, it has a great medicinal tradition with its properties : Anti-anxiety, Astringent, Purifying, Diaphoretic, Diuretics and Pesticides

We find the botanical Aquilegia proposed here is much more robust and beautiful than many of the commercial cultivars

If you let the plant produce seeds, it quickly naturalize in your garden
