Details

Beukesbossie in Afrikaans. Plant with aromatic foliage evoking the smell of eucalyptus and lavender. Source of essential oil (containing limonene, pinene, camphene, sabinene, myrcene, phellandrene, terpinene, 1,8-cineole, linalool, camphor, endo-borneol, terpineol, and carveol). It is a plant of little aesthetic interest, but traditionally used by the Zulus as medicinal plant : Antifungal, Antimicrobial, Febrifuge, Stomachic, and Tonic. Delicious herb teas can be prepared with it. The plant is also useful against mosquitoes. Rarely found in nursery catalogs, another of collection verbenas.
