Details
Lady Godiva pumpkin (agricultural selection) is botanically a runner zucchini that produces a large round fruit with aesthetic green and yellow skin
Its flesh tastes poorly but the variety is highly regarded for its naked seeds (without bark)
Delicious, the seeds of Lady Godiva Squash are rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals
They are Dried after harvest, then eaten for aperitif or in cooked dishes, salads, soups, eventually grilled and salted
The Oil Squash is grown extensively in Austria for the green oil extracted from its seeds, a specialty from Styria for almost 3 centuries
This oil is excellent and renowned for health (prostate, pregnancy, skin, hair)
Indeed, the seed is rich in zinc and is used against prostate disorders
It also has Anthelminthics properties (grinding, mixing in a glass of water, drink the emulsion, then taking a purgative to eliminate intestinal parasites)
This naked seeds zucchini was named Lady Godiva in reference to a pagan fertility ritual that celebrated the rebirth of spring or othes myths involving a naked woman
A useful cucurbit, beneficial to health, to grow in your vegetable garden
