Cultivation
Indian Woodoats like cool soils, and will do best in a shaded position during the hot hours of the day - this is not a full sun lovingplant
At the beginning of spring, sow 4 or 5 seeds together in pots, in good potting soil, 0.5 cm deep
Tamp lightly, then water
Place in a bright place and keep moist
When the seedlings are 10-15 cm high, plant in their final location in the garden
Water regularly during recovery, and during periods of summer drought
Keep weeds out
Easy to grow, accommodating a wide range of soils
Non-invasive, spontaneous sowing is extremely rare, no suckers
In winter, cut the stems at ground level - grows back from its stump each spring
