Details
Nassella tenuissima is a very beautiful evergreen perennial or short-lived grass
It has extremely fine (hence its name), light green foliage
In may-june, the plant is topped with graceful and ethereal cobs, in which the sun creates splendid reflections, wind magnificient animation

Cultivation
Mexican Feathergrass is very robust, adjusts to any type of well-drained soil, requires no care once acclimatized, and naturalizes easily without being invasive
Sow warm and in the sun, from spring to early autumn, preferably in boxes so as not to confuse Stipa tenuissima with weeds
Seeds are tiny : simply press them on the surface of moist soil, kept moist by spraying or capillarity during germination
When the seedlings have developed enough and can be handled, transplant them in small groups (for building useable clumps faster), either in pots for strengthening a few weeks in the nursery, or directly in the ground
Choose for your Stipa tenuifolia: an embankment or an open and sunny space where the graceful beauty of the plants will be highlighted
In winter, don't hesitate to prune drastically all vegetation (cut 15 cm to the ground), for cleaning and strengthening the plant
