Rosa rugosa is a suckering rose bush, very thorny, very hardy and tough, which will have its place in the embankments and uncultivated areas of your garden (even exposed to sea spray), which you wish to furnish with nice vegetation and flowers
Useful for creating impenetrable hedges
Ramanas Rose gives a very beautiful single, lilac bloom from spring to autumn
Flowers are followed in late summer and in autumn by fleshy, bright orange rose hips, decorative and edible
The rose hips are widely used in the Nordic countries (jams, infusions) and are delicious indeed
The petals Rosa rugosa can be used culinaryly, for example to prepare jams (after removing the base of the petal which gives bitterness)
A slightly aromatic infusion is obtained with the young leaves, with hepatic and anticancer properties
