Withania somnifera is a small perennial bush, not hardy (frost-resistant), with downy leaves carried by erect, short and strong stems
The flowers are tiny, greenish, insignificant, grouped in a whorl at the base of the leaves.
They are followed by small bright red berries, wrapped in a papery calyx like its cousins Physalis.
The fleshy roots of Ashwagandha are harvested in late summer, dried and pulverized for medicinal use.
Indian Ginseng is a Medicinal Plant cultivated for its Properties: Abortifacient, Antibiotic, Aphrodisiac, Astringent, Diuretic, Narcotic, Sedative

Sow warm in April, in pots, burying the seeds 0.5cm
Germination occurs quickly if the temperature is high (25°C or more)
