Easy plant supporting dry soils, fitting uncultivated areas of the garden, full sun exposure only
Sow the seeds at the end of winter or very early spring in the nursery
The seed is tiny and should not be buried but scattered on the surface of a seed compost kept moist
Give plenty of sun and a spring environment to promote germination
Prop out in the final location in May, when the seedlings have grown enough to survive in the garden
Water and weed for a few more weeks and if the summer is very dry, so that your St. John's Wort settle well
In winter, cut the dead stems to ground level and clearly mark the location as occupied
Grows back from its stump in spring
In subsequent years, little maintenance is necessary apart from a weeding to keep the space clear around the plants if necessary
First flowering in the 2th year, then every year
